“Close to Nature, Closer to God” – is one of the slogans you’ll see when you visit Caleruega Church in Nasugbu, Batangas. The place is a few kilometers away from Tagaytay and very near to one of Batangas’ popular mountains, Mt. Batulao.

We had the chance to bring our dogs on this trip after knowing the place is pet-friendly. We went there to only see the church on the hill but we also ended up walking Cruiser & Kimmy around. It’s a really great place to walk your dogs.

GETTING THERE: To make the trip hassle-free, I suggest bringing your own car. Commute was not option for us since we’re bringing our dogs. I was only familiar with the route to Tagaytay but not to Caleruega. Thank God there’s Google Maps & Waze. The place opens at 7am and so we left at 5am to avoid Manila traffic. There’s an entrance fee of Php30 per person and parking is free.

After a long tiring walk, we went to Café Voila in Tagaytay to eat breakfast. The restaurant is pet-friendly and the food is delicious!

Before heading back to Manila, we stopped by at Carmela’s in Tagaytay to try their famous banana cake. It was so good!

Planning to go to Caleruega Church soon? Let me know on the comment section 🙂
